The touch screen stock control point solution is intended for locations with multiple users who require medium to high volumes of consumable products on a 24/7 basis.

The stock control point provides access to products for users who have a personal smart card. This holds authority levels that determine the products available to them through the stock control point.

With the ability to measure usage against opening stock levels the product supplier has advance warning of use and can dispatch accordingly.

Product usage reports identify the operator, time and quantity with product costs assigned to the actual job by keying a job number at the time of vend.

Additional Functionality

Each tool / part can have the following information
for added product control:

  • Part Number, Serial Number, Calibration date (if applicable), Stores Location, and cost.
  • New Part Numbers can be added as new tools are acquired.
  • Tools can be grouped i.e. all Socket sets, test rig equipment etc.

There is also the ability to break down a complete Tool set, 
i.e. listed as individual parts within a complete set to track missing items.

Transactions Tracking

When issuing tools / receiving parts back the following is available:

Tools can be booked against an Engineers smart card, plus job number (8 digit number), date & time - (this is identical to the vending application)

The Storeman/Engineer that carried out the transaction can also be tracked.

When loan items are returned a confirmation prompt is given that the item is being returned.

The terminal has the ability to issue tools for repair or for calibration and can issue tools to other locations i.e. an off site location (this can be a loan item to a sister company or contractor).

Extra Reports / Functions

  • List of issues by engineer, by part number, by Works order, by date, by type etc.
  • List of tools equipment due for calibration in a particular period to allow planning.
  • The ability to pre-select/pre order tools and parts in preparation for work.
  • The system would pre-select tools/equipment and perform a cross check ensuring items cannot be double booked.

Back Up and Data Storage

Having the system on a network allows the back up of data safer and less vunerable.

This is by no means exhaustive but the functions listed here are as a guide and any other special applications/functions are subject to development and an associated cost.
